For nearly 20 years I have ice fished Western New York. A local farm family in Wayland, NY took me on my first ice adventure on Canadice Lake and I have been hooked since! A few years later my grandfather took up the sport and it allowed me to spend more family time with him. One day on Waneta Lake, my grandfather and his friend Barrie, said that I should try competing in contests as I always seemed to have several more fish in my bucket than the other fishermen. And this success has led me to sharing this passion with others today.
