In the first half of this we meet two anglers that use polar opposite jigging methods to over come different circumstances on competition day to keep catching fish through out the entire day. Pelican Lake has been alake with a history of larger fish but in recent years the biggest fish have been a bit more elusive. In this episode we hear winning stories from a Vermont winner that represents true sportsmanship and demonstrated the great nature of a competitor. This angler had to make a tough decision and in the end made a young boys day by sharing part of his winnings. WIFL winners share the fun of a repeat visit and the energy of guests that almost know that we will have yet another great opportunity to talk again. These two are modest in their winnings and share the great advise that comes from years of life experiences. If you are not currently competing in an event you will be inspired by these two. The NAIFC features traveling anglers from Utah that demonstrate Trout fishing techniques that are sure to help anglers across the ice belt. Also in this story you learn the importance of how to share experiences from different backgrounds to put together a winning experience.

Episode 052 Final 2012 Week Tournament Coverage

In this episode we discuss tournament ice fishing with winners Bobby Booth of the VSHTS (Lake Champlain Dillenbeck Bay, Vermont) and Nicholas Glosser of the NEIT (Lake Bomoseen, Vermont). With this difficult season tournaments were cancelled and rescheduled all through out the ice belt and in this episode we meet with winenr from Vermont, the last state to feature event from two independent series's. Weather keeping with the rest of the season varried greatly from one day to the next in this final week as well starting with the high winds and snow to the North of vermont on Saturday to high skies, sunshing and high temps on Sunday in Central Vermont. This weekend of competition was the general summary of the entire season of competiton and a perfect end to a year that is showing growth for 2013...........................

In this episode we discuss tournament ice fishing with Andrew Robinson the winner of the VSHTS qualifier held on Lapham Bay, Lake Champlain Vermont. Though the course of covering tournaments we hear many stories of anglers hole hopping and covering large amounts of water to put together a winning weight of fish. In this episode we enjoy hearing a story of one angler who breaks that norm and consistently catches large numbers of fish. Moving may be a strategy that works on some waters but is is good to know when to move and when to stay keeping you catching fish!!!!

Episode 050 Week 8 Tournament Coverage

In this episode we discuss tournament ice fishing with the winners Dan Dittman and Luke Kersten of the NAIFC (Lake Menomin, Wisconsin). This weeks competition featured what would be the last event for the NAIFC for 2012. To hear a story of such large weights of fish coming from the weeks 7 & 8 it is hard to resist the temptation of making plans to fish these waters. The winners in this event had a strict team work plan that helped keep them in the lead by continually moving and presenting to new fish.
